Generate → Colorize

Generate with your OpenAI-compatible endpoint, then colorize with NovelAI Director Tools. Keep multiple attempts and choose the input for each edit.

Connections and credentials
Include the API prefix, such as /v1. The app appends /images/generations unless it is already present. Your OpenAI key is sent to this address—only use a trusted endpoint.

This page does not save credentials, prompts, or images to browser storage. Requests go directly to the configured generation endpoint and image.novelai.net. Browser CORS restrictions still apply.

Each successful generation is kept below and becomes the selected colorize input. Change the prompt and generate again to iterate. Your endpoint must support the exact model and settings shown.
